NLP Meaning

The Neuro Pathways in your brain

The Language that we speak that represents the deep reference experience

The unconscious programs we collect at a deep level

Therapy for the Conscious and Unconscious Mind

The concept was created in the 1970s in Santa Cruz California by philosopher and psychologist Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder. They were modelling the best of the best in terms of performance and results in the field of psychology and communication

From that they put together a set of practices. These were designed to address a whole range of issues a psychiatrist or therapist would encounter.

These practices have been developed over the decades. So now can be exceptional and extremely fast compared to traditional therapies which could take several weeks or even months. The difference is NLP works with both the conscious and the unconscious mind.

The Art and Science of Personal Excellence!

When using NLP it is common to have positive change within one or two sessions, often with exceptional results.

NLP is now widely used in counselling, education, coaching and business for more effective communication, personal development and accelerated learning.

In short NLP is the art and science of personal excellence.

NLP works much like peeling an onion and what lies at the core is often very simple!

It’s like nothing you have experienced before. It will deal with the heart of the problem at source.

The Presuppositions of NLP

A Presupposition is what you suppose/assume to be true beforehand about a certain topic or statement. These are the foundation principles behind Neuro Linguistic Programming. They underpin the entire structure of what I do.

The Association of NLP (ANLP) shows the full version of all 11 Presuppositions of NLP but these are my favourites ….

What you notice is not all that there is.

We can all muster any internal resource we may require in any given situation.

Our bodies code everything that the mind experiences.

We learn all the time from every situation.
